Mayhem Festival hits town tomorrow,07/06/12,bringing with it Anthrax,Slayer,Motorhead and Slipknot. Anthrax bassist
Frank Bello is stopping by for a clinic and fan meet & greet before the show! As usual,a bass was sent a day ahead and it was up to me to make sure it was in good shape. This was my first look at the LTD
FB-4 and I was impressed.
Fresh out of the box! While I did do a "set up" on it,that's overstating it a bit. ESP/LTD stuff tends to be reasonably set up right out of the box. This is Arizona however,so a couple of small tweaks are par for the course.A few adjustments got it in tip top shape.
A classy variation of the P-bass style in a low gloss black. Tasty!
EMG-X pickups,chrome hardware and an ebony fingerboard..
Black pearl inlays and binding. Elegant without distracting from the dark look.
Franks signature on the headstock. If you're in Arizona tomorrow and want an autograph of your own,stop on by between 1:00PM and 3:00PM.

Hi Mr. Clark,
I really, really enjoy your blog, but I think I have read it all twice already and am wondering what happened after you set up Frank Bello's bass ? Are you all right ? Still in business ? Have you only seen boring models ever since ?
Anyway, thanks for all that guitar porn you shared with us !
